New Caledonia Energy is the entity responsible for developing the project for the new power station that will supply the energy for Société Le Nickel (SLN). The current power station is nearly 50 years old and is highly polluting. The ultimate goal is to have a carbon-neutral plant by 2030, which would be a world first in the mining sector.
