The project aims to boost the increase number of microgrid systems implemented at national level, supporting sustainability in the use of green technologies by increasing efficiency in local energy production and use, facilitating direct transactions between production and the consumer.
Contracts have been signed valuing €424.4 million ($411.8 million) for nine projects to oversee the digitisation and modernisation of Romania''s transmission network and power grid. The contracts were signed yesterday between the country''s Ministry of Energy and the national electric power transport company, Transelectrica SA.
The race is on, as most of these new projects are just still on paper – apparently, only 578 MW of new wind and solar projects were connected to the grid in 2023 and 25 MW in 2022. Romania''s target is to install 10 GW of new (onshore) wind and solar capacity by 2030 and we are still very far from it. Solution or problem – different
Microgrid Engineering Conferences in Romania 2024 2025 2026 is for the researchers, scientists, scholars, engineers, academic, scientific and university practitioners to present research activities that might want to attend events, meetings, seminars, congresses, workshops, summit, and
At the same time, microgrids are emerging as a valuable technology for future energy supply systems. In this space, Societatea de Inginerie Sisteme (SIS S.A.) aims to increase the number of microgrid systems implemented at national level through the Smart MicroGrid Controller project, funded by the EEA and Norway Grants.
Grid connection in Romania is mainly regulated by ANRE Order no. 59/2013 approving the public grid connection regulation (the "Connection Regulation"), which has already been amended twice in 2022 (under ANRE Orders no. 17/2022 and 81/2022) and will soon be amended for a third time. Hence, the legal regime governing grid connection is quite
Microgrids are an important concept in the emerging power industry field. They are widely recognized as an innovative eco-system when it comes to a flexible and reliable option for the integration of distributed energy renewable resources (DER).

Hybrid microgrids represent a cost-effective and viable option to ensure access to energy in rural areas located far from the main grid. Nonetheless, the sizing of rural microgrids is complicated by the lack of models capable of accounting for the evolution of the energy demand over time, which is likely to occur in such contexts as a

ANRE has also made several immediate changes to Romania’s grid connection processes, including new rules for financial guarantee. Previously required before concluding a connection, the guarantee is now a prerequisite for issuing any new grid connection permit above 1 MW and amounts to 5% of the connection tariff.

The research on direct current (DC) power distribution systems is taking ground especially for applications where the end-use loads are natively DC (e.g. data centers, offices, residential). Efficiency, reliability, lower capital cost, simpler control strategies, higher power quality are the most cited advantages compared with AC microgrids.
We are deeply committed to excellence in all our endeavors.
Since we maintain control over our products, our customers can be assured of nothing but the best quality at all times.
