The final battery project will be constructed in Huelva, in the municipality of Puebla de Guzmán, home to the Andévalo photovoltaic plant. In June 2023, Iberdrola secured a loan of €1bn ($1.08bn) from the European Investment Bank to support energy transition in Europe.
