Pylontech''s flagship battery product is the US2000C, a module featuring a nominal capacity of 2.4 kWh and a usable capacity of 2.16 kWh. There are also higher-capacity options including the US3000C (3.5 kWh) and US5000 (4.8 kWh). All batteries in the US series operate at a 48V nominal voltage and offer a 95% Depth of Discharge (DoD).
I was thinking of replacing them with a lithium Pylontech UP5000; 4.8kWH (or maybe a Pylontech US3000C; 3.5kWH). (EDIT Feb 16th: I bought US2000C x 2 as it was what was available.) It seems to be a good beginner´s option, as well as one of the very few lithium batteries available here in Chile and within my budget.
The US3000B is rated 3.55kWh and the US5000 is rated 5.5kWh. They allow easy setup and monitoring alongside connections for multiple units in parallel. It is compatible with all single-phase inverters.
At the pinnacle of Pylontech''s battery lineup is the US5000, a high-capacity lithium-ion battery designed for commercial and industrial installations. With a formidable capacity of 4.8 kWh, it is engineered to meet the demanding energy storage requirements of
I have spent some time reading up on the various opinions on settings for the pylontech batteries and have changed my setting so many times according to the latest pinion or view. I have a pair of us5000 on a conversol VM7 which I believe is also made as an axpert max.
The Pylontech US5000 battery is a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery, and it typically consists of individual cells configured in a specific arrangement to achieve its overall capacity and voltage.
The latest chapter in the Pylontech lineup is the US5000 Series. This larger 4.8kWh capacity battery boosted the power significantly over the previous models, with an impressive 100A continuous power rating, and 120A

Pylontech batteries have carved a niche for themselves in the world of energy storage solutions, particularly with their US2000B, US3000C, and US5000 series. These batteries are lauded for their safety, efficiency, and reliability, making them a popular choice among homeowners looking to optimize their solar energy systems.
Exactly. The us5000 afaik is a 4.8kwh and can be discharged 80%. So usable capacity is 80% of 4.8kwh = 3.84kwh. At R22813, that works out to around R5940.89 per kWh. The US3000c on the other hand will give you 95% of 3.5 kWh = 3.325kwh. At R16100, that works out to R4842.11 per kWh. To me the US3000c is still a better buy.
The Pylontech US5000 battery is a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery, and it typically consists of individual cells configured in a specific arrangement to achieve its overall capacity and voltage. The exact number of cells can vary based on the design and configuration, but here’s a general breakdown of how these battery cells are arranged:

Battery Chemistry: The Pylontech US5000 uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry, which is known for its safety, stability, and long cycle life. Nominal Voltage: The US5000 has a nominal voltage of around 48V (specifically, 51.2V). Capacity: The total energy capacity is approximately 4.8 kWh.
Stepping up in capacity, the Pylontech US3000C is a robust energy storage solution tailored for both residential and commercial applications. With a capacity of 3.55 kWh, it offers increased storage capacity compared to its predecessor, making it suitable for larger households and small businesses.
Pylontech has 2 series of batteries that have been approved by the Clean Energy Council for sale in Australia – the US series and the Powercube series Pylontech’s flagship battery product is the US2000C, a module featuring a nominal capacity of 2.4 kWh and a usable capacity of 2.16 kWh.
Pylontech US3000C battery features and connections Following this, Pylontech expanded the US series with the larger 3.55kWh capacity US3000 series, allowing for up to 16 batteries to be connected in parallel (using the US3000C version).
