Technical Description Package Micro Auto Gasification

Terragon has developed the Micro Auto Gasification System, or MAGSTM, which is a compact, efficient and environmentally safe technology for the conversion of waste into thermal energy for use by the site where the waste is generated. MAGS can be used to eliminate all combustible waste produced by a ship,

Terragon wins contract to supply a MAGS for installation on board

Terragon Environmental Technologies Inc. is proud to announce a new contract with Wärtsilä for a Micro Auto Gasification System (MAGS TM) to be installed on board MS Regal Princess. Terragon''s patented technology will enable the shipowner to reduce its waste on board in a sustainable, energy efficient manner.

Royal Caribbean Group Transforms Waste

The two new systems, Microwave-Assisted Pyrolysis (MAP) and Micro Auto Gasification (MAG) will be launched onboard Icon of the Seas and Silversea Cruises'' Silver Nova. The systems take waste onboard and turn it

VESSEL REVIEW | Ultramarine – Quark Expeditions

Technical Description Package Micro Auto Gasification

MAGS uses Terragon''s patented technology, Auto Gasification, to thermally break down waste and transform it into a solid carbon material (bio-char) and a synthesis gas (syngas). The syngas becomes the main fuel source for MAGS, which eliminates the need for external energy sources and renders the appliance virtually self-sustainable.

MAGS™ [micro auto gasification system] An energy

MAGS uses Terragon''spatented technology: Auto Gasification Process, to thermally break down hydrocarbons in waste and transform them into a small amount (5% by weight) of harmless residue (bio-char) and

Micro Auto Gasification System MAGSTM V8

Auto Gasification is Terragon''s patented technology. MAGS thermally breaks down waste into biochar and syngas. The syngas is then used as fuel to make the process self-sustaining. • 120 kW energy generation (hot water or space heating) • Integrated gas cleaning and energy recovery • Quench and scrubber eliminate dioxin/furan formation

VESSEL REVIEW | Ultramarine – Quark Expeditions welcomes

The ship''s emission-reduction features include a micro auto gasification system (MAGS), which Quark has claimed can convert waste into energy right at the source. A heat recovery system takes some of the excess energy and converts it into fresh air to help reduce the energy needed for keeping the interior spaces adequately heated.

Micro Auto Gasification System (MAGS)

This solution relies on the patented "Auto Gasification" process to enable the treatment of all combustible waste on-site, generate clean energy and soil-enriching biochar to be used within the habitat, while producing clean air emissions. MAGS destroys waste on-site, reducing its volume by 95%.

Royal Caribbean''s newest cruise ships will convert waste to energy

Microwave-Assisted Pyrolysis (MAP) and Micro Auto Gasification (MAG) will take waste on board and convert it into synthesis gas (syngas) that the ship can directly use as energy. An additional bioproduct of the system, biochar, can also be used as a soil nutrient.

3 FAQs about [Marshall Islands micro auto gasification system]

What is a micro auto gasification system?

Terragon’ s novel Micro Auto Gasification System, or MAGS TM, is the world’s most compact, efficient and environmentally safe technology for the conversion of a variety of combustible materials into thermal energy for use by the site where these materials are generated.

How does Terragon auto gasification work?

In Terragon’s proprietary Auto Gasification process, the synthesis gas is used as the fuel for the process. Thus, the waste is converted to inert carbon products by “cooking it” and using the vapours generated from the “cooking” as the fuel for the process. MAGS TM is USDA approved by APHIS as a technology for handling Regulated Garbage.

What is Mags gasification & how does it work?

Put simply, MAGS gasifies - or “cooks” - waste, reducing it by more than 95 percent in volume to bio-char and a hot gas (syngas). The hot gas re-circulates through the appliance to maintain the elevated temperature needed to continue the gasification process, hence Auto Gasification.
