Voltalia energises solar-storage park in French Guiana
Renewable power plants operator Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) on Thursday announced the commissioning of its 5-MW Parc Sable Blanc solar farm with an integrated storage system in French Guiana. The Paris-based company secured the project in a government tender for solar projects in non-interconnected zones (ZNIs) in May 2021.

CEOG will provide cheaper and firm power all year long, day and night, to 10 000 homes in Western Guiana. Combining a photovoltaic plant and mass storage of energy in the form of hydrogen, CEOG is the alternative to a classic diesel power plant.
EDF Renewables commissions a new solar farm with storage in French Guiana
In French Guiana, EDF now has eight solar facilities in service, including three that are equipped with battery storage systems. It represents close to 20 MW in total capacity.
