Voltalia is the sole winner of the fifth period of the CRE 4 tender for non-interconnected areas for ground-based solar power plants in French Guiana. The project, called "Parc Sable Blanc", combines a five-megawatt photovoltaic power plant with a lithium-ion battery storage facility with a capacity of 5 megawatts and of 9.3 megawatt-hours.

CEOG is an innovative multi-megawatt power plant designed to produce reliable and clean electricity. CEOG will provide cheaper and firm power all year long, day and night, to 10 000 homes in Western Guiana. Combining a photovoltaic plant and mass storage of energy in the form of hydrogen, CEOG is the alternative to a classic diesel power plant.

Voltalia has secured the Parc Sable Blanc scheme, which calls for the construction of a 5-MW solar plant with an integrated lithium-ion battery facility of 5 MW/9.3 MWh. The capacity will be installed in the commune of Mana, French Guiana, within the Toco energy storage complex.
Located in the commune of Mana, the photovoltaic (PV) farm will be capable of generating 7,430 MWh of electricity, or enough to cover the consumption of roughly 3,090 inhabitants of Western Guiana. The plant is coupled with a 10.6-MWh lithium-ion battery storage facility, which will hep stabilise the local grid during high-demand periods.
announces that its 4 MW solar project has been selected by French Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy in the national call for tender dedicated to non-interconnected territories. Winning 4 MW project, called Savane des Pères, is located in French Guiana, near the Sinnamary city.
Renewable power plants operator Voltalia SA on Thursday announced the commissioning of its 5-MW Parc Sable Blanc solar farm with an integrated storage system in French Guiana. The Paris-based company secured the project in a government tender for solar projects in non-interconnected zones (ZNIs) in May 2021 .

The project, called "Parc Sable Blanc", combines a five-megawatt photovoltaic power plant with a lithium-ion battery storage facility with a capacity of 5 megawatts and of 9.3 megawatt-hours.
This innovative power plant will produce baseload, dispatchable and non-polluting electricity for the equivalent of 10 000 homes in western French Guiana all year round, day and night.
The plant will be connected to French Guiana’s grid through an underground cable connecting at the Saint Laurent du Maroni substation. The project will also be key for developing other applications for renewable hydrogen hubs. The main shareholder, Meridiam, leads the project development and will manage it over the long term.
The population of French Guiana is very quickly increasing. Guiana has to face a considerable energy deficit, especially in the west where the demographic growth is booming. By providing several MW of reliable and clean energy, CEOG fits with French Guiana’s energy strategy.
