There are nine thermal power plants in Tanzania: Ubungo I and II, Tegeta, Songas, Mtwara, Somanga, Kinyerezi I and II, and Dangote. Nine thermal power plants in Tanzania convert natural gas to electricity, with a total production per year of approximately 650 MW.
