St. Kitts and Nevis will add a utility-scale solar and storage plant to meet one quarter of its electricity needs. The 35.6MW solar park and 44.2MWh battery storage facility will be built and operated by Leclanché, a Swiss firm acting as EPC contractor.
The solar PV will supply St. Kitts with 30 – 35% of the annual electricity demand utilising sustainable, solar energy with zero emissions. The solar and storage system will replace over 4,000,000 gallons of diesel per year.
