I played with those solar panels quite a lot early on in my ARK career, back when oil only really came out of the ocean (before beetles and SE oil pumps), and my girlfirend and I didn't really like playing the ocean, so keeping our power grid online was troublesome with just a generator.
Would it be possible to have solar panels as a way of generating electricity?
it's technically possible to make (pretty bad) solar panels with organic components instead of rare metals, so maybe with a little abstraction we could have them in game as high level crafts instead of a generator? What do you need electricity for?

It would make flowing rivers a competed spot, you would have to protect your wheels, manage them, build them, etc. solar power realistically isnt that viable in a survival/homestead opertation like outlined in ARK.
