At Gravitricity we are developing a novel storage technology which offers some of the best characteristics of lithium batteries and pumped storage. Ideally suited to network-constrained users and operators, distribution networks and major power users, the technology operates in the 1MW to 20 MW power range and enables existing grid
Gravitricity has successfully commissioned its 250kW energy storage demonstrator, proving the novel technology''s capability. The demonstrator has been built above ground whilst future commercial projects will be built underground, potentially using decommissioned mine shafts.

Gravitricity has signed an agreement with US firm IEA Infrastructure Construction to seek funds for projects in the US from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill which provided US$450 million for clean energy projects at mining sites. The company plans to fund up to five projects at current and former mines.
Gravitricity is a dynamic, expert team which includes creative engineers, analysts and business leaders – each one aligned to our ambitious mission and passionate about the potential offered by Gravitricity energy storage. The company was established in 2011 by Martin Wright and Peter Fraenkel MBE – the inventor of Gravitricity.
One that particularly stands out is the gravity battery, which seeks to build and improve on an existing stored energy concept, and could prove to be a reliable source of power in the long-term. A number of companies have invested considerably in gravity batteries, and boast impressive figures regarding energy efficiency and power storage.
In time, should the idea catch on and gravity batteries become an integral part of the energy storage landscape, there is scope for the necessary infrastructure to be incorporated into the construction of new high-rise buildings to create truly mixed-use energy self-sufficient developments.
We are deeply committed to excellence in all our endeavors.
Since we maintain control over our products, our customers can be assured of nothing but the best quality at all times.
