Does anyone know if G59 relays are absolutely mandatory for every system above 16A/phase? Someone has said that if you install a sunny tripower 10000TL you don''t need to install a relay as it has the adequate G59 protection incorporated? I know this is a bit of a grey area but I''m hoping someone can help?

I carry out a lot of small scale solar work ranging from 2 to 4kW systems and trying to find out at what point G59 kicks in at. It states when it goes beyond 16A per phase, but also finding that I can still carry out solar installs on systems upto 50kW as long as I install a G59 relay protection devise under the G83 testing series.

The DNO require an additional G59 relay to be installed, although the inverters are G59 already. I was just wondering if anyone recommends a good place to buy one. I have 5 Mastervolt CS20TL inverters that will be installed.
