The solar enclosure is "universal" in that it can accommodate the Heltec V3, RAK Starter Kit, or boards of similar size without modification. It features the option for N-Type or SMA connectors, an optional waterproof USB-C pass-though.
The node has so far always re-started on solar power if left to run flat deliberately. The node reports the solar panel voltage and current. It has a 55 deg C cut-off for the battery. A long-term test is running to see if it survives when mounted vertically in sub-optimal location in winter.

I ordered a WisBlock Meshtastic Starter Kit and received it a few days ago. I built out my setup with a 6w 5V solar panel and 2P 18650 3.7v batteries. After installation the RED LED indicating the solar charger was charging seemed to work fine. The voltage increased from 3.7v to 3.75v sometime since then, so it was charging the battery.

Solar panel is from a trail camera i had. It has an internal pouch battery(1700mah) i also added another battery inside it, same type. Solar panel is rated 1.8w, but i really think it''s half under good circumstances. Since the solar panel outputs 6v i added a diode with voltage drop of 0.7v so the input is about 5.3v.
