Given the issue of electricity shortage, micro-RESs have been a solution to provide off-grid electricity for households living in the remote and difficulties areas of Vietnam. The results suggest that the support schemes may be beneficial to households adopting micro-RES because they really need it.
For the first research objective, we found that the adopters are likely to be lower-income households or those living in the mountainous regions. Given the issue of electricity shortage, micro-RESs have been a solution to provide off-grid electricity for households living in the remote and difficulties areas of Vietnam.
